Yesterday, the new Peter Pan queue opened up to guests. While we’ve written about new interactive elements coming to the queue in the past, the unveiling of an entirely new queue was a nice surprise.
The new, extended, queue runs through what used to be restrooms that were closed when the Tangled restrooms area opened. While I think the queue still isn’t completely finished, it is really well done. You’ll see an empty hallway at the end of the photos that I believe they’re still working on. Also, the room before it features what looks like bathroom tile that doesn’t fit with the rest of the queue theming at all (no it’s not the old bathroom tile). Also, interactive elements are still in the works. The trunk on the four poster bed looks like it could become interactive in the future.
Quite possibly the biggest benefit to guests is that the new queue is indoors. The old, switchback queue, had guests standing out in the Florida sun for a considerable time.
While I still think that wait times for Peter Pan’s Flight are still unreasonably long, checking out all of the details did pass the time. Overall, the queue is really well done and this is definitely an upgrade for guests visiting Walt Disney World. Take a look at pictures of the new queue below.
