We stopped by Animal Kingdom earlier today to check out the progress on the Rivers of Light seating area. Rivers of Light will debut in 2016. Here’s a look at the affected area. Our photos we’re taken from near where the word Google is at the bottom of the photo, looking across the lake.

Moving to the right side of the lake we see more progress.

Looks like some nice rock detail work.

Not sure what purpose these will end up serving, but they can be found on the near side of the lake. Basically on the banks of where we’re standing (again, near the word Google in the first picture of this post).

Reading posts like this about the construction going on at Animal Kingdom can be a bit misleading as the majority of the park is still as beautiful as ever. Turning around from my position to take these pictures, I was reminded of that beauty.
