Here’s a look at today’s update to the Android My Disney Experience app and website as it relates to the latest FastPass+ enhancements. The first thing that I noticed is that the FastPass+ selection process has a new UI, similar to the UI introduced in the Disneyland app. Rumor is that Disney wants to overhaul the look of the My Disney Experience app and this change seems to be their first step in that direction. In addition to the changes pictured, you can now make your bonus FastPass selections from the app after you’ve used your existing FastPasses without having to go to a FastPass kiosk.
I guess the only complaint that might arise is that you have to make your FastPass selections 1 at a time. You can still plan 1-3 initial FastPass experiences, but those must be made 1 at a time instead of the bulk selection in the last version of the app. That said, these changes work MUCH better than the old app, in my limited time playing around with it this morning. I’m very happy to see that Disney has realized the limitations of the old flow and gave us this update, albeit a bit late.
