From artful food, to actual art, Disney has really done a good job with the inaugural Festival of the Arts at Epcot this year. Another fun addition is the Expression Section presented by Glidden. In what is probably the most natural fit for a sponsor that Disney has found recently, the Expression Section is a paint-by-numbers wall where guests are given paint and a corresponding number to help create a work of art. There is no cost for this activity outside of normal park admission.
Located between Port of Entry and Canada, and right next to Decadent Delights, guests wait in a short line to be given a random number to help create a painting.
After getting a small cup filled with one of 15 different colors, you can then pick the squares of your choosing and paint away. We’ve been told that the cups hold anywhere from 5 to 12 squares of paint each, but it’s probably best to find some middle ground to allow as many guests as possible to contribute. Each color has a fun name like Pluto Paw, Pretty as a Princess, Minnie’s Glove, and Pixie Hollow Sky.
Now would be a good time to turn away if you don’t want to see the final product. A beautiful buffer photo.
That’s the popping bubbles cocktail and can be found at the Pop Eats! booth, if you were wondering. Now a look at the final product. Guests are given a card with the painting on it to take home if they’d like.
The painting is the same bit of art that you can find at the character meet and greet area to the right of Spaceship Earth as you enter Epcot.
