We visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom this morning to check out the damage to the park from Hurricane Irma. While majority of the big trees are fine, there are some operational impacts due to tree damage.

Kali River Rapids Closed

Kali River Rapids will be closed for the day. Cast indicated that they hope to reopen tomorrow.

Kilimanjaro Safari Closed

Kilimanjaro Safari is closed this morning. Cast have indicated that they hope to reopen to guests later today.

Rafiki’s Planet Watch Closed

Due to debris on the train tracks, Rafiki’s Planet Watch is closed. Cast indicated that they hope to have it open tomorrow.

Gorilla Falls Trail Closed

The Gorilla Falls Trail is closed this morning. Cast indicated that they hope to have it open later today.

Maharajah Jungle Trek Modified

The Maharajah Jungle Trek trail has been modified, with the trail closed past the bat exhibit.

There is a modified walking path near Flights of Wonder due to downed and unstable trees.

Water in Pandora – The World of Avatar had been drained and is now at lower levels.

All other attractions are operating at the time of this post.
