We made it out to Magic Kingdom recently and decided to check up on the Splash Mountain refurbishment progress. Having started almost two months ago, the external work seems to be wrapping up, with a projected reopening date of November 17th. Let’s take a look.
Most of the work seems to be applying a fresh coat of paint to the exterior. It definitely looks good in person!
A look at the drop and splashdown area. All water is drained to allow for needed repairs and repainting.
Walls are more of a deterrent to entering the queue rather than a visual deterrent.

The Briar Patch gift shop remains open during the refurbishment of the attraction.
As previously stated, the scheduled reopening is November 17th.
