Jardin de Fiestas – 2018 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival
As part of our 2018 Epcot Flower and Garden coverage, we bring you the Outdoor Kitchen review for Jardin de Fiestas. Located at the Mexico Pavilion, this Outdoor Kitchen features food inspired by Mexico.
Pork Taco – $6.25
Slow-braised Pork Taco served with Apple Relish, Goat Cheese, and Chili de Arbol Sauce
A nice pulled pork with a variety of flavors. Decent enough portion for one, but your dollar goes further with the next offering.
Chilaquiles – $5.95
Served with Ranchera Sauce, Chorizo, Mexican Cream, and Cotija Cheese
For the price, I think there is value in this dish. A good portion with some good flavors. The dish oozes with cheese and meat. It’s a bit messy to look at, but a recommended dish if you find yourself wanting to eat at Jardin de Fiestas.
Capirotada – $4.25
Bread Pudding served with Rompope
The first few bites underwhelmed me, but once you make it down to the moist layers with Rompope, it’s a nice dessert. We noticed mainly cinnamon with the first bites and a more traditional taste from the middle to the bottom.
Daisy Spicy Beer ($6.75), Rose Margarita ($11.50), Tiger Lily Sangria ($10.25), Violet Cassis Punch ($12.25)
We’d recommend skipping the beer for a mixed drink instead. As far as a recommendation is concerned, all of the drinks are decent choices. The rose margarita was very floral and light compared to a normal margarita. The sangria was also light in flavor, but seemed to be the favorite of the trio. The punch ended up being the drink with the most kick.
