As the story goes, we’re shrunk down to the size of a toy to enjoy Andy’s Backyard. As luck would have it, the scale of the land is based on the Green Army Men and Women being roughly the same height as us. So while the large toy figures of Woody, Buzz, Jessie, and Rex are bigger than us, the Green Army Men and Women are free to roam around the land, interacting with guests. As part of their interactions, there are two shows performed throughout the day.

Green Army Drum Corps

New to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the Green Army Drum Corps. We caught them as they were performing in front of Toy Story Mania and they were awesome! While the concept of a drum show isn’t new to Walt Disney World, we really enjoyed some of the tricks performed during the show. The Green Army Men take the show through the land as they enter and exit, drawing a crowd and following as they move along. Here’s our video.

While this show might not be new to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, having all of the Green Army Men and Women have their faces exposed allows for a bit more fun during the show and interaction with guests. Here’s our video from near the entrance to Alien Swirling Saucers.
