Starting November 28th, the FriendShip boat service will be unavailable for transportation to Epcot’s International Gateway. The service will remain unavailable until late December.
The downtime is due to work on the Disney Skyliner station and surrounding support structures. As part of the work, temporary structures will be placed near future routes, which may affect certain areas around International Gateway at Epcot.
Disney has announced that the International Gateway will remain open to pedestrian traffic during the downtime, despite rumors to the contrary. The FriendShip boat service supports the following Epcot area resorts:
- Disney’s BoardWalk Inn
- Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
- Disney’s Beach Club Resort
- Disney’s Beach Club Villas
- Disney’s Yacht Club Resort
- Walt Disney World Swan Hotel
- Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel
Friendship Boat service will remain available to the resort hotels around Crescent Lake as well as Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Bus service to and from Epcot will be available at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Villas, Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resorts and the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
