A new food truck has been added to the Disney Springs lineup! Featuring the newest dessert trend, edible cookie dough, this food truck offers a variety of cookie dough flavors and presentation. The new food truck debuted today and can be found at Exposition Park across from Candy Cauldron and next to Starbucks.

Springs Candy Taco – $6.00

Monster Cookie Dough, Chocolate Sauce, Whipped Cream, Sprinkles, and a Cherry

We’ll start by saying that our biggest complaint about all of the edible cookie dough was that it was room temperature (or warmer by the time the Florida sun got to it). Luckily, managers that we spoke to said that they were certainly aware of it. Unfortunately, the chef that we spoke with said that the food truck doesn’t support any mechanisms to chill the cookie dough. They are “shelf stable” which means that they can sit out, but there is no hope of getting it chilled with the current setup. That’s a big detriment and might even lead us to not recommending a visit at all. At least nothing will melt for your Instagram pics.

Ok, as far as the specifics of this offering, it’s essentially just a simple sugar cookie dough with some M&Ms throughout. While this might be one of the more interesting items as far as color, it’s the least interesting on taste. You can safely pass on this.

Minnie Dessert Taco – $7.00

Peanut Butter and Fluff Cookie Dough, Caramel Sauce, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry with a Minnie Bow

The peanut butter here is wonderful. If you’re a fan of peanut butter, this will be a winner of the bunch. Again, if this was a chilled cookie dough, it would elevate it to the point where it would be a dessert contender in all of Disney Springs, not just the food truck.

Cold Brew Cookie Dough Sundae – $8.00

Cookies n’ Cream Cold Brew Cookie Dough with Chocolate Sauce and a Mini Funnel Cake

While the name would suggest some coffee flavoring, it was only very subtly present. Most of the flavor profile came through as a traditional cookies and cream flavor.

The mini funnel cake is very fresh as it’s made in the truck and served when ready. This is another solid offering that we can recommend.

Celebration Parfait – $8.00

Celebration Cookie Dough with Celebration Mickey Cake, Vanilla Custard, Strawberries, Whipped Cream, and a Cherry

This was probably the most robust offering here. A soft, moist cake sat on top of layers and layers of whipped cream, vanilla custard, and some “celebration cookie dough”. Cut strawberries make this a very well rounded dessert, but not necessarily cookie dough.

Mickey or Minnie Funnel Cake – $10.00

Funnel Cake topped with Powdered Sugar and Mickey or Minnie Shaped Chocolate-Chip Cookie Dough

We find ourselves face to face with another wonderfully fresh funnel cake with a traditional chocolate chip cookie dough on top. Unless you want a full plate of funnel cake, I’d go for the cold brew cookie dough.

Cookie Dough Flavors in Cup or Cone – $4.75

Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter and Fluff, Cookies n’ Cream Cold Brew, Celebration (Vanilla Sugar Dough with Rainbow Sprinkles), Candy Monster (Blue Sugar Dough with Chocolate Candies)

If you don’t want any of the presentation types or portions of the above offerings, a cup or traditional sugar cone is also available. In all honesty, all of the portions above are sharable. Even the single cone is a lot of cookie dough, especially when it’s room temperature or warmer.

Overall, there are some surprisingly good cookie dough options here. The thing that hurts the whole experience is the fact that they can’t chill the cookie dough. Would we return? Probably not until they can figure out a way to chill the cookie dough, or the outdoor temperature drops below 90 degrees.
