File this one under “fun” instead of “news”, but we were out at Animal Kingdom a few nights ago and captured smooth jazz coming out of Pandora – The World of Avatar. We were able to catch it between songs at Nomad Lounge. In the video, you can hear the smooth jazz right away, some muffled fireworks from Hollywood Studios, and then a new song starting for the normal Nomad Lounge background loop.

In addition to (hopefully) lessening the stress of hitting the May 27th opening date for crews working on the project, it at least confirms that there is some sort of infrastructure already installed to deliver background music for the new land. Of course, smooth jazz isn’t the type of thing that will find its way onto a background loop, but it was fun to keep an ear out for it between drinks as we ended our day at Animal Kingdom.
