PHOTOS: Latest Look at Grand Avenue Roadwork and Signage

Grand Avenue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is progressing quickly as the Fall opening date approaches. Let’s take a look.

First, a look at the project as a whole.

Here’s our best look at the area to date from the ground. We can see the mouth of the roadway in the new area opens towards Sci-Fi Dine In. It’s encouraging to see the low fences in place and other detail elements, signaling a nearly complete construction zone.

More detail work includes the installation of drapes in the windows of the Grand Avenue facades.

We also spotted a new sign up on the windows of Grand Avenue. This one reads “Harmony Music”.

More signage looks prepared for installation. It look like two planes of glass, but some of the verbiage can be made out, such as:

  • Mercado Garcia Sisters
  • A Family of Fine Foods since 1933
  • Artisan Breads
  • Imported Cheese
  • Handcrafted Sausages
  • Fresh Fruit and Vegetables
  • and presumably the street address of “724”

It appears that the second pane of glass is an advertisement for Disney Cruise Line.

And just because we were in the area, here’s a look at the Slinky Dog Dash roller coaster in Toy Story Land, visible from PizzeRizzo. The concrete you see in the foreground is the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Grand Avenue opens this Fall at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
