Savi’s Workshop Reservation Tips for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland

Starting today, Savi’s Workshop requires that all guests make an online reservation to build their very own lightsaber. As we saw during the 4-hour reservation period in the first few weeks of operation, Savi’s Workshop proved to be one of the most popular spots within Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. As a result, Disneyland has announced that guests will only be able to get into Savi’s Workshop with an advance reservation. Here are the details that you need to know to give yourself the best chance to build your own lightsaber on your visit to Batuu.

    Making a Reservation

First, know that reservations open at 7am PST. You can make reservations either on the Disneyland mobile app or on Disneyland.com.

Next, only same-day reservations are available. By only allowing same-day reservations, Disneyland essentially levels the playing field every morning.

Note that on the first day that reservations were required, Savi’s Workshop sold out of all time slots by 7:20am according to the Disneyland website, nearly 40 minutes before the park officially opened. Getting online by 7am PST is crucial to giving yourself the best shot of getting in to Savi’s Workshop. You should also be logged into your Disney account before the 7am PST reservations are released.

Note that a valid, accepted credit card number is required at the time of booking. A $199.99 no-show fee per builder will be charged to the credit card if you fail to check in for your reservation. Cancellations are not allowed.

    Checking In

Guests should check in no earlier than 15 minutes prior to their reservation time at the check-in location in front of Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. Each person in your party must be present upon check-in and admission to Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. Late arrivals may not be accommodated.

If the virtual queuing system is being used, Guests with reservations for Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers may enter the land up to one hour prior to their reservation time at the Fantasyland entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

If the party size is larger than the reserved party of 3 for the experience area, and if boarding groups are required to enter the land, up to a total of 6 Guests may enter the land in connection with the reservation. The experience area is still limited to the builder and 2 Guests.

Please be prepared to present your reservation confirmation, photo ID and the credit card provided at the time of booking.
