The unexpected closure of Primeval Whirl will continue through at least July 27th, according to Disney’s calendars.
The attraction has been closed since June 17th for unplanned maintenance. Disney has remained silent on the nature of the downtime. It’s worth noting that while the internal calendars have July 28th as the day that Primeval Whirl returns to regular operation, the refurbishment has been pushed back four times already.
Primeval Whirl is a “wild mouse”-type roller coaster that was built by Reverchon. The one minute and thirty second long attraction covers nearly 1,400 feet of track and reaches speeds of up to 30mph. The roller coaster cars can spin freely as they move through the steel track.
The rest of DinoLand USA is unaffected by the refurbishment.
