Cinderella Castle Walkway Widening Project Continues at Magic Kingdom

We made it out to Magic Kingdom today to take a walk around the park and see what’s new. We realized that we haven’t checked in on the Cinderella Castle walkway widening project in some time, and with some notable changes having taken place recently, we wanted to give you the latest look at the work as of this afternoon.

This project began all the way back in March and has taken quite a bit of time to complete, in our opinion. Disney has not stated when the pathway would open back up, but there has been some good progress as of late.

First, here’s an overview of the work as seen from the bridge that connects the Cinderella Castle hub to Liberty Square.

Here’s a more face-on view of the faux brickwork that has been added recently.

Down the pathway a bit, we can see that new concrete has been added to the walkway, as well as the first section of walkway railing.

If we adjust our view a bit, we can get a better look at the installed segment, as well as a look at what appears to be the first column where the sculpting has been finished.

As always, stick with BlogMickey.com for the latest on this project and many more projects from around the Disney Parks. For more from our visit to Magic Kingdom this afternoon, check out the new awning that has been installed in the Haunted Mansion queue!
