Toy Story Land Entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Revealed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

More construction walls have been removed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This time, it’s the long-standing construction wall in Toy Story Land that hid the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge that was removed. We made it out to Disney’s Hollywood Studios today to give you a comprehensive overview of the area.

First, the entrance to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge will actually likely only be used as an exit to manage crowd flow. The pathway is located past the entrance to Alien Swirling Saucers, seen in the photo below past the planters.

A peek past the planters reveals the pathway to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The interesting thing here is that you’re actually crossing a backstage roadway. More on that in a bit.

As you can see, the “exit only” sign is ready for the masses on August 29th.

Ok, so about that backstage roadway. Past the popsicle gate below is a backstage access area for the upcoming Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, Pixar Avenue (currently home to the Incredibles), and support areas for BaseLine Tap House.

There is another popsicle fence to the right that leads to the Hollywood Studios perimeter access road and away from the facilities mentioned above.

It’ll be interesting to see if this backstage road will be used during operating hours for the park like it has been for years, or if operations will only use it when the park is closed. In the original concept art, this area was shown to be a tunnel, presumably under the backstage access road.

Finally, here’s a look at the second Toy Story Land entrance sign that guests will see when exiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.
