Disney has announced that water from the former Fountain of Nations will be used in a new water feature when the Epcot overhaul project is complete. Epcot Vice President Melissa Valiquette was joined by Imagineering Portfolio Executive Zach Riddley in a ceremony where two current Epcot Cast Members collected water from the fountain before it was drained.
As you may recall, delegations from countries from around the world poured water from their home countries into the Fountain of Nations. As part of the recent collection of water, a vessel from Switzerland and a vase from the Mexico delegation were brought out from the Walt Disney Archives to hold the water.
As a reminder, here’s a look at the concept art for the Epcot overhaul project that will see the introduction of four neighborhoods that will tie the park together. Disney has not announced an end date for the project.

A good trivia question is” how many feet of construction fencing is now in Epcot?”
