Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Menu Removes ‘Star Wars’-Themed Names from Menu Items

According to the Disney website, Disney has removed the Star Wars theming from the menu item names.

As you can see in the screenshot below, items such as the Smoked Kaadu Ribs, Yobshrimp Noodle Salad, Felucian Garden Spread, and more have been “dumbed down” to simply name what the dish is, devoid of all of the theming and story that Disney Imagineers and Chefs worked to create.

If you’re interested in the previous naming and what animal or story each item represented (along with if it was actually good or not), check out our full review of Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo (REVIEW).

Disney hasn’t commented on the change, but it’s likely due to guest confusion, despite extensive descriptions.

    1. Ahhh NO! Disney don’t do this! It’s just sad and embarrassing.
If people are too stupid to read that’s their own fault! don’t cater to idiots that can’t read for the life of them, cater to normal folks who know how to read and have common sense!

    2. This is kind of sad but should be expected. No one can argue that Galaxy’s Edge is a success, and they are going to try everything that they can to bring people in, and that includes things like this. I think most of us can see the writing on the wall: give it a few more months, and most of these items will be gone and replaced by regular hamburgers, hotdogs, French fries, etc.

    3. Don’t want to spoil your immersive experience? Don’t go to Docking Bay 7 for food.

Actually, how immersive can the experience really be? Most everyone is wandering around in street clothes and waving around their smartphones taking pictures of things that wouldn’t be very novel if it really was the galaxy far far away.

As awesome as Galaxy’s Edge looks, I don’t think it can ever be the experience some us want. Hopefully that is yet to come. Full costume immersion in a Star Wars exclusive park, where you need a backstory in order to enter the park. Maybe even cast members that are full on aliens outnumbering us humans.
