Good morning from Epcot! It’s an exciting morning here as crews have completed (most) of their work and have opened the new bag check area, parking lot tram drop off area, and general arrival experience. We made it out to the park very early this morning to give you a first look and tour of the area.
We’ll put together the photos in the order that you’d experience the new area when walking in from the parking lot or new parking lot tram drop off area.
Before we walk under the monorail track towards bag check, here’s a look at the main exit.
Here’s a look around the expansive bag check area. Bag check will take place under the structure and the rest of the space is for the crowds to build.
Our favorite new part of the arrival experience is how Spaceship Earth is visible through the structure. This view wasn’t possible with the old configuration due to trees and the way the parking lot tram drop off area worked.
Continuing on to the bus loop, we can see a wide pathway that eventually leads back to the same bag check area as guests arriving via the parking lot.
Make sure to stay to the LEFT here. Going to the right takes you to the exit.
Thank you for watching this project grow with us so far! From the day the old area closed until today, we’ve kept an eye on the construction every step of the way. There is still an eastern tram loop and arrival experience to open, so keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com as we continue to bring you the latest news and photos from the Epcot overhaul and much more from around the Disney Parks!
