As Epcot continues to evolve, there are plenty of little details that will surprise us along the way. While The Epcot Experience provides guests with a wonderful overview of the projects on the horizon, it paints that picture with broad strokes, leaving the little details to be discovered. While waking around Future World West, we discovered one such small detail and wanted to share it with you. As you can see in the photos below, new light fixtures have been installed along the recently widened path in Future World West that runs between the Imagination Pavilion and World Showcase.

You can see the old version of pathway lighting still installed nearby. Hopefully it’ll be replaced soon.

It’s actually interesting to note that these might not be part of the final look of the area when the Epcot overhaul project is finished, as this area has a lot of change on the horizon with the addition of the World Celebration Festival Center and demolition of the nearby Innoventions West structure.

Also underway is a planter reshaping that will likely open up the pathway a bit.
