We have a new rumor today that might explain what guests would see in the coming months at Disneyland Paris with regards to Sleeping Beauty Castle. Let’s jump in.
First, there will reportedly be no Christmas lights on Le Château de la Belle au Bois Dormant, or Sleeping Beauty Castle. Some rumors have been floating around that the lack of lights are due to technical difficulties or some financial constraints, but that doesn’t seem to be true, which leads us to the bulk of the rumor.
According to @ED92live on Twitter, Sleeping Beauty Castle may be on the brink of a lengthy refurbishment at Disneyland Paris. The castle, often considered the most beautiful of any Disney theme park, has been in need of repair for quite some time, and it seems like Disney is getting ready to make the much-needed repairs. While we don’t have exact dates for the refurbishment, it will likely be lengthy (up to 2 years), leading to quite a bit of work on the castle. As a result of the refurbishment, there will be no Christmas lights on the castle this year, seemingly pointing to a start date for the refurbishment in the coming months.
As with any rumor, you should treat this information as unofficial unless and until Disney officially confirms it.
