Aerial Photo Reveals Demolition for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland

Generally seen in the skies over Walt Disney World, @bioreconstruct has made a West Coast flight recently to capture some of the ongoing construction projects and more from high above the Disneyland Resort.

We made it out to Toontown recently to try and see the latest progress on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, but there unfortunately wasn’t much to see besides the facade mountain range removed.

A portion of the fake mountain range does still exist, but that’s because it wasn’t attached to the backstage building that has been completely demolished.

To better illustrate this point, here’s a Google Maps view of the former warehouse building and the mountain range that would have blocked the blue and teal building in the photos above.

Thanks to an aerial photo posted by @bioreconstruct, we can see the complete demolition of the warehouse seen above.

It is thought that the entrance to the ride will take over the Five and Dime/Gag Factory area seen below.

    1. I’m pretty sure that the leftmost of the buildings demolished housed the recording studios used by Disney Performing Arts Workshops.
