As we first told you back in October, Test Track is undergoing a refurbishment that will see it closed for more than a month. The refurbishment started earlier this week, and we made it out to Epcot recently to find that construction walls have been erected at the entrance to the attraction.
According to Cast Members at the location, the ride will undergo software upgrades during the routine refurbishment. Cast Members indicated that there will be no visible changes to the ride or experience, but that the software upgrade should improve the reliability of the attraction. That said, it looks like some touch ups are underway
The scrims are covering some support columns, as seen in the older photo below.
Test Track is planned to reopen on February 27, 2020.
