Here’s a Look at the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run FastPass+ Queue at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

With the recent announcement of the addition of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to the FastPass+ lineup at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we decided to head out to the park and take a look at the FastPass+ queue. Do note that FastPass+ for the attraction doesn’t start until February 19th, so this queue isn’t in use yet, but here’s a look around at what you can expect if you’re lucky enough to snag a FastPass+ for the attraction.

The FastPass and Standby entrances are right next to each other. While the sign is covered in Florida, we were looking through our photos from Disneyland and found the FastPass sign uncovered there as seen in the photo below of the Smugglers Run entrance.

Continuing on in the queue, the FastPass line takes the high ground as you walk past the parked Millennium Falcon.

You eventually find a door which leads to an inclined catwalk switchback.

Like many attraction FastPass lines, you miss quite a bit of the normal queue, although Disney did try and give you a look at the engine under testing in the standby queue nearby.

The view from the standby queue is much better, of course.

FastPass queue can be seen through the “windows” to the right

Continuing our tour of the FastPass queue, we make the u-turn on the catwalk and head up the ramp towards the merge point with Standby.

After a couple of turns through a hallway, we will eventually find ourselves on the second floor of Ohnaka Transport Solutions and just about ready to merge with Standby.

Unfortunately, this wall will block the giant windows that give standby line guests a good view of the top of the parked Millennium Falcon. You can see the merge point, which will be right before the Hondo Ohnaka pre-show.

Here’s a look at the view out of the windows from the standby queue.

That’s it! To recap, you’ll miss closer views of the Millennium Falcon and some of the impressive set pieces by taking the FastPass line, but you will not miss the excellent Hondo Ohnaka pre-show and you’ll still get the full “chess room” experience onboard the Millennium Falcon before taking the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy for a spin!

If you’re planning an upcoming trip to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, keep in mind that the FastPass+ tiers will be changing once FastPass+ is in place for Smugglers Run. For a breakdown of what to expect, check out our post (HERE).
