A new feature has popped up on the Walt Disney World website called “CoBrowse”. The feature is another layer of support for Disney Cast Members to assist you with navigating the Walt Disney World website and its various features.

As described on the Walt Disney World website, CoBrowse lets you share your screen with a Disney Cast Member if you run into a problem that a chat or phone call can’t solve. Even as the Disney Cast Member guides you around the Walt Disney World website, they will be unable to access or view any files or information on your device or anything you type.

Looking at the Walt Disney World source code, it looks like Disney uses a third-party program called LivePerson to support their chat backend.

CoBrowse is actually the name of a feature from LivePerson that allows a customer care professional to see the browser screen of a guest looking for help. CoBrowse technology has an enhanced level of security in comparison to traditional screen sharing and desktop sharing. With desktop sharing, at least one of the participants downloads a software or plug-in for sharing a video screen of the entire screen or desktop applications. CoBrowse, on the other hand is restricted to sharing only the website that the consumer is currently chatting on.
