According to Disneyland insider @DLThings, Soarin’ Over California will return for a limited time next month at Disney California Adventure. While we’ve tagged this as a rumor due to the lack of an official announcement at the time of publication, @DLThings has a good track record on Disneyland rumors.

According to the tweet, Soarin’ Over California would return on February 28th for a limited engagement. This would mean that the attraction would return to its “classic” state on the same day that the all-new Magic Happens parade debuts just across the esplanade at Disneyland.

Disney typically runs the “Over California” version of the attraction during times of anticipated high crowds at Disneyland. It’s almost like a carrot to try and get guests to visit Disney California Adventure when Disneyland has something new and exciting. Last June, Disney brought back “Over California” just days after Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge debuted. The classic version of the attraction was so popular that it was extended until August 31st. No word yet on an end date for the most recent rumored return.

As always, a rumor should be treated an unofficial unless and until Disney officially announces it.
