Baymax Attraction Ride Vehicle Popcorn Bucket Coming to Tokyo Disneyland

Guests who are at Tokyo Disneyland for the opening day of The Happy Ride with Baymax on April 15th will have the opportunity to buy a popcorn bucket that resembles the ride vehicle for the attraction.

The Baymax popcorn bucket will debut on April 15th and will cost ¥2,600 (about $24).

The Happy Ride with Baymax is a spinner attraction very similar to Alien Swirling Saucers or Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree that will whip guests around as Baymax leads their ride vehicle. The ride will clock in at about 90 seconds long and it will have FastPass when it opens. There will be a height requirement of 81cm (32″) to ride.

Here’s a look at the official concept art for the attraction.

The Happy Ride with Baymax is the first Disney theme park attraction to be based on Big Hero 6.

According to the storyline of the attraction, this isn’t actually Baymax, but a specially-built care robot that Hiro made for the attraction to keep guests happy and healthy. There will be 22 ride vehicles in total that will whip around to up-tempo music.

There will also be a new popcorn specialty shop called Big Pop as part of the Baymax expansion to Tomorrowland.

Here’s a look at some of the popcorn that will be offered.
