There are several entertainment cuts coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios today, and we’ll run through everything you can expect to be different when you visit next. Today, February 22nd, is the final day for the following entertainment and meet and greets.
Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away
One of the most substantial changes is that the Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away is coming to an end.
In the show, new characters and classics alike would take to the stage at the middle of Disney’s Hollywood Studios to strike a pose for guests. The show implemented mobile stages back in fall 2017 to allow for a better view of the Chinese Theater during nighttime shows.
It’s possible that Disney could be ending the show to provide for a much better visual down Hollywood Boulevard where the brand new Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway sign will light up the night as it welcomes guests to Disney’s newest attraction.
Bo Peep
Debuting in June 2019 to coincide with the release of Toy Story 4, Bo Peep will be hitting the road and going “seasonal” as Woody is left alone in Toy Story Land. Disney has not said when she would be returning.
Frozone
Frozone joins Bo Peep as a “seasonal” character and will no longer be meeting with guests in Pixar Place.
Mike Wazowski
Mike Wazowski will be leaving the Monsters Inc. Meet and Greet in the Walt Disney Presents attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. His departure is seemingly permanent, as Disney has not assigned him “seasonal” status like the two characters above.
