Tokyo Disneyland has announced that the first of five “type C” monorails will debut on May 21st at the resort.

This will be the first new monorail on the line since 2001. The train will contain 6 cars and is the first of 5 such trains that will be added to the line by the end of fiscal year 2024. The trains will feature larger, Mickey-shaped windows to provide guests with a better view of the resort as they travel around the line. Here is a first look at the interior of the cars.

In addition to the announcement of a debut date, Tokyo Disneyland released a behind-the-scenes look at the creation and delivery of the monorail to the resort.
