Aerial Photos of New Bag Check and Parking Lot Tram Drop Off Area Under Construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

As we continue our aerial photo tours of all things Walt Disney World during the closures, we have a new look at the new bag check and tram drop off area at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Before we jump in, let’s take a look at the permits that we spotted first back in February 2019.

As you can see, the old tram loop is the area of interest here as Disney looks to expand the bag check options by creating a new bag check area and rerouting the tram drop off area a bit.

Here’s another look at the changes planned.

With a general idea of what to expect, let’s take a look at the area from the air.

As we get closer, you can see the construction zone taking shape as outlined in the permits.

Here’s a comparison between the latest construction and the permit.

The bag check structure was nearing completion before all construction work was halted around Walt Disney World.

This new bag check area will replace the modest setup seen in the photo below.

A closer look at the construction site shows that the tram drop off area is nearly finished, with trees planted and concrete pouring taking place until work was halted.

Another section of the construction zone shows more newly poured concrete as some of the last pathways take shape.

    1. Mike,
First, I want to say nice blog. As a former Disney employee your photos bring back memories. Next, I’m writing an article about the construction of Disney properties and wanted to see if you had any photos that you could provide.
Let me know if you have any questions or concerns.
      Respectfully,
      steven
