Disney Cast Members Not Scheduled to Work April 1st and Beyond; Extension of Disney Theme Park Closures Imminent

As we first reported, Disney notified Cast Members that their schedule for the week of March 29th through April 4th was going to be delayed. It appears that Disney has now posted their schedules and no Cast Members are scheduled to work through April 4th. Of course, there are exceptions to that such as security and animal care as it relates to hourly, frontline Cast Members. Cast Members who are able to work from home are being asked to do so.

With this latest update, it is expected that Disney will finally announce an extension to their theme park closures soon. As a reminder, local “Stay at Home” orders are in place for Orange County and Osceola County, completely covering Walt Disney World property and essentially forcing Disney’s hand in the matter. The local orders are in place through April 9th.
