Good evening from Magic Kingdom! While we normally get morning updates from the park, we wanted to let the sun hit Cinderella Castle from the west in our latest photo update that looks at some deeper blues, more “Rose Pink“, and some main facade prep work accomplished today.
While most of our photos start from Main Street USA and feature a half-dozen high-rise cranes, workers are typically finished in the early afternoon, giving us a crane-free look at Cinderella Castle this evening.
A closer look at the painting reveals a darker, more royal blue has been added. A turret to the left of the clock almost works like layers of rock, telling the story of the repainting from most recent shade on the left to the original, faded shade on the right. We’re calling it the “Neapolitan ice cream” turret.
Elsewhere on Cinderella Castle, we can see what appears to be some vigorous sanding of the facade. Perhaps to prep for more painting of the facade in the coming days.
A few different shades of “Rose Pink” can be seen here.
We spotted more “Rose Pink” up at the top of Cinderella Castle.
On the Liberty Square side of Cinderella Castle, we can see more repainting and some facade work.
The next two weeks will be a bit weird as far as our coverage of the Disney Parks is concerned as a result of the closures, but we’ll continue to update you to and through the closures here at BlogMickey.com!
