Tokyo Disneyland Resort Closure Extended to April 20th

As Walt Disney World and Disneyland remain silent about extending theme park closure periods, Tokyo Disneyland and the Oriental Land Company have announced another extension for the theme park closure period in Japan.

As per their previous statement, Tokyo Disneyland had closed through “early April”, with no specific date announced. Their most recent statement below gives a specific date:

The temporary closures of Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea have been extended in light of the continued request from the New Coronavirus Response Headquarters to refrain from holding events, etc. as well as the current situation in Japan and abroad. The reopening of the parks is planned for April 20 or beyond, for which a new announcement will be sent out.

As a result of the closures, the grand opening of the Beauty and the Beast-themed area is still delayed until mid-May or beyond.
