A new update to the My Disney Experience Walt Disney World app seems to follow in line with a recent update to the Disneyland app. While we already brought you the news of a new “My Queues” section added to the Disneyland app in preparation for a possible expansion of the virtual queue system, we started poking around a bit in the My Disney Experience app to see if we could find it there too.
It wasn’t as easy to find as in the Disneyland app, but we were able to find the “My Queues” section in the My Disney Experience Walt Disney World app by attempting to join a Rise of the Resistance boarding group. To find this section of the app at home, click on the “hamburger menu” (three lines in the bottom right of the home screen), click on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, click on “My Status”, and you’ll find yourself on the “My Queues” page.
Furthermore, if you click on “Join Boarding Group”, you’ll be taken to a screen that contains the only attraction that supports virtual queuing – Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.
Of course, while the presence of the “My Queues” section of the app is far from confirmation that there will be an expansion of the system, we’ll continue to keep a close eye on any changes made to the app and how they might affect operations when the theme parks reopen.
As always, keep checking back with us here at BlogMickey.com for the latest Disney Parks news and photos. We’ll continue to bring you news and photos, where possible, through the Disney Parks closure due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) and will resume our normal coverage once the parks reopen to guests, whenever that may be!
