According to a report from the OC Register, Disney construction crews have returned to the Avengers Campus and Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway sites to resume “essential work” as allowed by government and health officials.
The “skeleton crews” of construction workers will reportedly be applying weather protection to the Avengers Campus project and receive steel deliveries for the Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway project. The skeleton crew will contain workers from Imagineering, Disneyland employees, and third-party contractors.
Disneyland officials said that work has not resumed on refurbishment projects underway before the closure at the Haunted Mansion, King Arthur Carousel, and the Disneyland hub. Disney will save about $900 million this year by hitting pause on the majority of their construction and refurbishment projects.
