Isaias Strengthens to Hurricane Status as Predictions Lessen Impact on Disney World

Isaias has strengthened to a hurricane overnight, but there is some good news as the latest predictions have the storm missing Florida now, steering to the east of the state.

As you can see in the update below, the storm is expected to pass by the east coast of Florida as a category 1 hurricane, and the latest updates from the National Weather Service don’t mention the Central Florida area has having any significant impacts due to wind this weekend.

While the Disney World area remains in the path of possible Tropical Storm force winds, local forecasts only call for rain and moderate winds of 15mph through the weekend. That said, if you’re planning on visiting the Walt Disney World area this weekend, plan for wet weather!
