According to the Walt Disney World calendar, the Main Street Confectionery is currently planned to be closed through October 2nd.
While we’ll report on the date simply because it’s the first time that the refurbishment has been formally extended in weeks, it’s likely that the work will be completed in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary on October 1, 2021.
In speaking with Cast Members before the closure, they were hopeful that the work would be done before October 1, 2021, but said that the work would be quite extensive. Disney has said that the sweets shop will be open for the 50th Anniversary, but hasn’t released an official reopening date or even concept art of what the Main Street Confectionery will look like when the work is finished.
