Diseased Trees Removed from Pirates of the Caribbean Queue During Refurbishment at Disneyland

Two massive trees have been removed from the Pirates of the Caribbean exterior queue after reportedly becoming diseased. Here’s an old file photo of the trees in the exterior queue.

Now, here’s a look at the same space from this afternoon, with the towering trees removed from in front of the attraction.

Pirates of the Caribbean does not have a reopening date beyond “early summer”.

    1. I don’t understand. if pirates is closed for refurbishment how do they not know when it will resume. How long did it take in the times before ?

    2. Think of it this way: if you are told an opening date and they delay it, many will be mad. There could be many issues affecting the refurbishment: construction supply issues, labor shortages, design problems, landscaping – waiting for trees and plants to take hold, etc.

That’s why most projects are given a range….because of there are no problems and it opens sooner, then it’s a positive instead of the negative.
