Disney World has extended its Hurricane Policy period to cover more dates as uncertainty surrounding the impact of Hurricane Ian continues. Crews are assessing damage from the storm and Disney World will likely issue an updated statement today or tomorrow about reopening plans. Currently, the Walt Disney World theme parks are scheduled to reopen tomorrow, September 30th, but timelines and plans are subject to change. With more than 12″ of rain at Walt Disney World, flooding could be the biggest impact at the theme parks.
Initially, Disney World waived all cancelation fees for check-in dates through Monday, October 3rd. Now, Disney World has extended that timeframe to include check-in dates through Thursday, October 6th.
As a reminder, cancelation fees for other reservations such as dining or special experiences have been waived indefinitely.
