According to a report from WPTV, Republican lawmaker Rep. Daniel Perez says that the party is looking to “put a bow to that conversation in the near future” and that lawmakers will “reach a solution sometime soon”. No further details were shared:
The one thing that I can tell the audience is that the conversations of Reedy Creek have always been there, and they’re still continuing today. We’ll try to put a bow to that conversation in the near future. As for the timetable on that, it’s still uncertain. But the conversations have continued. There is some progress to be made, but we will definitely, I think, we’ll reach a solution sometime soon.
The representative may have gotten ahead of the announcement a bit. When asked for comment, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ office said they did not have an announcement to make but to stay tuned.
