Reservation Calendar & Wait Time Data Suggests Lull in Crowds Could Soon Be Over at Disney World

After covering the Disney World “slow season” at the end of August and into the start of September, a look ahead suggests that the crowds will soon return to Disney World as the march towards the holiday season begins.

While the remainder of September is mostly green on the reservations calendar, October is starting to fill up for quite a few dates. Of course, Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Hollywood Studios remain the most in-demand reservations, but we expect to see more dates fill up as we turn the calendar into October. All this is to say that if you have an upcoming trip, don’t delay in making those Disney Park Pass reservations!

The Annual Passholder reservation pool remains wide open.

Wait time data from thrill-data.com shows that wait times are already up significantly this week over recent weeks. We would expect wait times generally to continue to climb through the end of the year, although the Disney Park Pass system is designed to spread demand as Disney sees fit.

Here’s a look at weekly average wait times across all attractions at Walt Disney World dating back to the beginning of 2022. We can note an uptick in average wait times on the current week in the bar all the way to the right of the graph below.
