A 5pm update from the National Hurricane Center (NHC) has shifted the centerline of Tropical Storm Ian’s forecasted path further west than recent forecasts. The cone of uncertainty still covers the majority of Florida, including the Walt Disney World area, but a western shift is likely preliminary good news for Walt Disney World. It is still too early to know the exact path of the storm, according to the NHC, and they still advise that residents continue to monitor the storm closely.

Disney World has not issued any statements or modifications to operations for Tropical Storm Ian.
We will continue to monitor the storm and update if Walt Disney World makes a statement.
