As we barrel toward a late 2023 completion timeframe for The Pit at EPCOT, we wanted to take a new look at the latest work taking place for CommuniCore Hall – the new catch-all, multi-purpose building that will act as a home for meet and greets, a mixology bar, a festival support center, and more. For this photo update, we wanted to take a look at the structure as seen from inside EPCOT, as well as take a lap on the monorail to provide an elevated view of the work. Let’s jump in!
CommuniCore Hall Concept Art
First, let’s start with a look at the layout and some concept art to better understand what we’re looking at. As you can see in the layout below, CommuniCore Hall is in the southwest corner of World Celebration, and is a u-shaped building that will consist of CommuniCore Hall, CommuniCare Plaza, and the Mickey & Friends area (among other offerings). The area that we’re focused on today is the CommuniCore Hall structure. The CommuniCore Plaza area has not been built yet.
Here’s a reverse look at the CommuniCore Hall building. In the concept art below, you can see the monorail track that we’ll travel along for elevated photos of the CommuniCore Hall construction.
CommuniCore Hall In-Park View
Ok, we’ll start with some in-park views of the work from near the Imagination Pavilion.
A unique part of the view above is that we can see some Journey of Water – Inspired by Moana construction through the framing.
CommuniCore Hall Monorail Views
Ok, time to jump on the monorail and get a view from the track seen in the photo above.
CommuniCore Plaza will be built out in the area to the right of CommuniCOre Hall in the photo below.
Here’s a look at the northwest end of CommuniCore Hall, which will wrap around the existing restroom building.
