Pirates of the Caribbean Experiencing Extended Downtime at Magic Kingdom

A message from Magic Kingdom President Melissa Valiquette apologizes for extended downtime at Pirates of the Caribbean today. The attraction has been down since around noon after experiencing a very limited window of operation this morning. Cast Members at the location did not know how long the attraction would be closed for but advised guests to continue checking the My Disney Experience app for updates.

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad also experienced extended downtime this morning into the early afternoon and Magic Kingdom guests received an apology message for that as well. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has reopened, but Pirates of the Caribbean remains closed as of publish time.
