While visiting EPCOT today, we noticed that the rest of the tarp on the Test Track canopy had been removed. Yesterday, we spotted the first bit of work to remove the tarp, but the entire blue tarp has been removed today as Disney World prepares to demolish the canopy structure. We’ll jump right in, with a look at the work from the EPCOT monorail.
Time to head inside EPCOT and take a look at the work. Before we jump into our on-the-ground photos, here’s a reminder of the concept art that Disney has previously released for the new entrance to Test Track 3.0.
When we visited, crews were welding supports to the track near the main entrance to the ride. It’s unclear if the track needed that support anyway, or if it’s related to the new layout of the entrance.
