While visiting Magic Kingdom recently, we noticed that construction walls have expanded at the Beak and Barrel Pirates of the Caribbean tavern set to open later this year in Adventureland. The walls have expanded to encompass more of the entry area to the bar, including encroaching a bit more on the queue for the nearby Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. Let’s take a look.
Construction Walls Expand for Pirates-themed Bar
The construction walls have expanded to now include the former Pirates League sign, which will likely be removed or rethemed to include the Beak and Barrel naming. There will likely also be some exterior work at the entrance to the location. The fact that the construction has moved to the exterior of the tavern is probably a good indication that construction inside is starting to wrap up.
As of this publish time, Walt Disney World has not announced an opening date for the Beak and Barrel tavern.
Here’s a look back at the old Pirates League sign. If you don’t recall, the Pirates League was sort of a Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, but for pirates. The former venue, along with a newly built attachment, will make up the Beak and Barrel tavern. For more info about the Beak and Barrel, check out our earlier article!
