The 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is underway, and as part of our coverage, we’re going to review the Food Studios. Here’s our El Artista Hambriento Food Studio Review.
El Artista Hambriento is a returning Food Studio and is located near the Mexico Pavilion.
Huarache Verde (NEW) – $7.50
Cilantro huarache with cochinita pibil, fresh pineapple, and pickled onion
The Huarache Verde was the standout entree here due to a combination of good portion size and good, traditional flavors. We’re not always the biggest fans of the beans here, but the pickled onion and fresh pineapple combined well with tender pork.
Carne Asada (NEW) – $9.50
Seared beef tenderloin, grilled queso fresco, refried beans, scallion, and ranchera salsa
$9.50 feels like highway robbery. The beef was cold and the dish was bland. Avoid.
Taco de Chocolate – $6.50
Chocolate candy shell filled with Mexican chocolate mousse with a touch of chile topped with seasonal fruit
A fun take on what is otherwise a very simple dessert. It’s probably better at $4.50, but the mousse was light and chilled. The seasonal fruit made this a delicious dessert.

- Mexican Craft Beer: Tulum Artisanal Lager crafted with Citrus notes and made with Mexican Caribbean Seawater – $10
- The Lily: Casa Dragones Blanco Tequila, Violet Essence Infusion, Rose Petal Liqueur, Cranberry and Lime Juice – $16
- Smoky Raspberry: Centinela Blanco Tequila, Rosemary-infused Ojo de Tigre Mezcal, Ginger Cordial, Lime Juice and Rosemary Aroma – $15
