The 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts is underway, and as part of our coverage, we’re going to review the Food Studios. Here’s our Vibrante & Vívido: Encanto Cocina Food Studio Review.
Vibrante & Vívido: Encanto Cocina is technically a returning Food Studio, but has a completely new theme. Vibrante & Vívido: Encanto Cocina is located between Morocco & France.
House-made Chorizo and Potato Empanada (NEW) – $6.50
House-made Chorizo and Potato Empanada with turmeric aïoli and annatto aïoli (Wonderful Walk of Colorful Cuisine – Yellow)
A wonderful portion for the money, the empanada is mostly potato, but the chorizo that does come through is enjoyable. A little bit of spice was present in the drizzles, which balanced the dish wonderfully.
Spicy Ajiaco Soup (NEW) – $6.25
Spicy Ajiaco Soup with guajillo and árbol chili-spiced chicken, potato, avocado, corn, and crème fraîche (Gluten/Wheat Friendly)
Another decent portion here, the spice builds and isn’t up front. The slow build of spice allowed flavor to come through. A mild spice, the soup is a great choice in cold weather.
Passion Fruit Mousse – $5
Passion Fruit Mousse with Dragon Fruit Jam (Gluten/Wheat Friendly)
The mousse wasn’t overly sweet, as can be the case with some festival desserts. It’s still sweet, but balanced nicely with fruity flavors thanks to the passion fruit and dragon fruit jam.
Beverages:
- Coconut and Passion Fruit Smoothie (non-alcoholic) – $4.75
- Frozen Piña Colada – $13
- Passion Fruit Daiquiri – $14
