More 50th Anniversary decorations have been removed from Cinderella Castle as Magic Kingdom returns to normal. In addition to the decor removal, some pre-50th decorations have been restored. In this article, we’ll take a look at all of the recent changes!
We’ll start with an overview of Cinderella Castle as it sits this morning. From Main Street USA, you can see that quite a bit of the decor is still installed, including all of the turret flourishes. The actual work is taking place on the side of Cinderella Castle, but we’ll get to that in a bit.
As we get closer, we can see that more of the pre-50th banners have been restored to the flanking turrets at Cinderella Castle. Here’s a super-wide shot showing the latest restoration of decor, followed by some closer looks.
Turning our attention to the sides of Cinderella Castle, we can see that more of the decor has been removed from Cinderella Castle walls. Again, there is essentially no damage to the Castle, which is something that the teams should be commended for! We can see that crews are working “back to front” on the decor removal.
The turret cap flourishes remain in place for now.
When the decor is fully removed, Cinderella Castle will retain the “rose pink” paint scheme.
