Meteorologists are closely watching a tropical disturbance called Invest 93-L that we’ll likely start hearing more about this weekend and into next week with the National Hurricane Center calling for a 70% chance of formation into a Tropical Depression within 48 hours.
Intensity models tend to agree that the storm will reach Tropical Storm force winds sometime mid-next week and many models have the storm impacting the west coast of Florida.
Disney World has not issued any weather advisories at this time. With the storm likely staying west of Central Florida and with all intensity models below a Category 2 hurricane (at this time), it’s likely that the impact on Walt Disney World will be minimal. Rain and possibly some elevated winds are the most likely scenario, but it’s still too early to tell for sure.
